Dear Colleagues,
Greetings from me and my new Executive Committee team members of Bangalore Dermatological Society (BDS). I am happy to take over as President of the esteemed BDS during the term 2023 – 2025. I thank all the members in reposing faith in me and my team.
Bangalore Dermatological Society is a vibrant society and has been in the forefront in being a pioneer to implement several innovative programs. It’s forte is very strong academic programs, being held continuously since it’s inception during 1994. These programs are well attended and has paved the way for knowledge updation. It has also provided platform for furthering the scientific temperament of post graduate students and young dermatologists to excel. They are encouraged to present their cases / research papers and also face larger crowds. Hence BDS members fare well at state / zonal and National levels.
BDS is like a large family and has fostered friendship, brotherhood and good support system. Youngsters are mentored by senior dermatologists and BDS has been constantly launching them at National and International levels. BDS has also being holding several national conferences, providing opportunities for youngsters to hone their organisational skills and leadership qualities.
Managing such a vibrant and dynamic organisation is by any means a challenging job. Given a committed, passionate and dedicated team, it should be comparatively an easy job. I am sure each one of them are as enthusiastic as I am to lead and be a part of this great association and live upto the expectations of its members.
To achieve this, I seek and solicit support and co-operation from all the Heads of the Departments of Dermatology, previous office bearers and senior dermatologists. Please join us, encourage us and be with us to deliver good academic activities and also provide rich entertainment programs to break the monotony.
